RD 53 News

* The RD53A Chip was submitted for fabrication on August 31, 2017. Wafers are expected to be delivered in mid November 2017.

* The September LHCC endored the extension of RD53 from its original goal of developing the design and tools, to the new mission of delivering the full design of the ATLAS and CMS pixel readout chips for the Phase 2 upgrades.

* The next RD53 General Meeting will take place at CERN, Nov. 14-16, 2017.
